Who We Serve

New Hope Academy specializes in helping children (ages 5 – 14) with behavioral and mental health disorders.

Our individualized education plan is set up to meet the specific needs of the child academically, socially, and emotionally.

WHO WE SERVE:

Families come to us for many different reasons, here are a few examples:

  • Child is struggling in school with academics, behavior and/or social problems
  • Child is stable at school but really struggles with some or all relationships at home
  • Child is self-harming or shutting down from anxiety due to new or over stimulating situations
Schools come to us because:
  • The school has used all of it’s strategies and resources and yet the child still isn’t progressing
  • The child is taking a disproportionate amount of the school’s time and resources.

Every child who comes to us has a very specific behavioral need.  We work with children who are physically aggressive, have difficulty with academics, and or behavior at school, struggle with behavior at home or struggle with one or more family members.  Our purpose is to bring hope and peace to families that are struggling with raising children who have behavioral and mental health disorders.  Our goal is to help each child at their specific level to gain the tools needed to be integrated back into a regular school or homeschool situation.

We help make sure that each student gains an IEP (Individual Education Plan) here at New Hope Academy so that each child can receive the right kind of individual help needed for their educational progress.  Each child’s needs are then evaluated monthly by Kasey and LauraLee to track the child’s progress which then allows for appropriate changes to be made if necessary.

Please contact New Hope Academy to try out a three day assessment to see if New Hope Academy is the right school for your child.  The assessment is $250 per day. LauraLee and Kasey will then do a sit down with you for an hour after the three days to see if New Hope Academy is a good fit for your family.

Upon completion of an initial assessment,  an IEP (Individual Education Plan) is created by New Hope Directors, then reviewed with parents to ensure that they meet the specific needs of the child as they progress through two key stages:

  • New Hope Stage 1 (Behavioral / Emotional Learning)
  • New Hope Stage 2 (Social / Academic Development).

TUITION

New Hope is a private school, thus tuition is a necessary part of giving your child the best possible outcome.

The monthly cost of tuition at New Hope Academy is $1156.00. However, due to available scholarships through local school districts, most families pay between $100-$400 per month. For more information about tuition costs and scholarship applications, contact New Hope Academy Directors for a consultation.

We highly recommend that parents meet with the child’s current school teacher and administrators for an initial assessment and development of an IEP (Individualized Education Program). Once an IEP has been completed, parents can meet with school district professionals to identify possible resources available to the student for tuition at New Hope Academy.
